Letting Go of Control
Control can feel safe.
We plan. We organize. We try to anticipate every possible outcome. But eventually we hit something we can’t manage.
Letting go doesn’t mean giving up responsibility. It means recognizing our limits.
Why Control Is Exhausting
Control demands constant vigilance. It convinces us that everything depends on us. That pressure builds quietly.
Jesus invites us into a different way of living.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Rest requires surrender.
Practicing Surrender
Start small. Pray specifically about what you’re gripping tightly. Name it. Release it.
You won’t feel perfectly peaceful overnight. Surrender is often repeated daily. But over time, peace grows where control once ruled.
You don’t have to carry what was never meant to be yours.
